Once a day we hash the full set of that day's rulings and settlements into a SHA-256 chain. Each day's hash includes the day before it, so altering any past day changes every hash after it.

What this proves — and what it doesn't
It proves the rulings shown for a committed day have not been edited since that day's commit. It does NOT prove anything before the first commit: dates backfilled at launch show their real committed_at, and tamper-evidence only runs forward from the moment each day was first committed. No blockchain, no third-party notary — just an honest, append-only local chain you can recompute.
